I was listening to the radio this morning and as you all know I am very emotional about everything. But today they were reading a letter someone wrote about September 11th and they were talking about all of the promises we made on that day. And a lot of them really did hit close to home because even though I was only a Sophomore in High School when the tragedy happened I do remember making promises to myself about what I would do better in the future and what I would work on in my life. Some of the stuff that they mentioned were things like promising to hold your loved ones a little longer when hugging them good-bye and not going to bed angry at your loved ones and no getting angry at the little things in life but embracing the good times and holding on to the joys. Or maybe calling a friend you haven't talked to in a while and make sure all is going well with them. It is a tough thing to do daily but today is a good reminder to put your life into perspective and look at the wonderful things that God had given you and all the wonderful times. I know today I am very thankful that all of my family is safe and healthy and happy. I am so blessed with the people I have been surrounded by in my life. I again promise to try harder to make that extra effort in my life and to take life a little lighter and to take in all the joy that I am surrounded by.
Thank you Jesus for all of the heroes in our lives and for giving them the strength and courage to protect us in times of need. Especially today I thank you for those whose lives were taking on September 11, 2001 and all the blessings they provided the people in their lives. Hold their loved ones close today and remind them that they are loved and safe. Thank you for all you provide me with and all of my blessings. Amen
